This week The Flooring Room Tauranga hit an important milestone – two years since opening its doors!
Although still young as a business, there’s over 150 years of experience backing the dedicated team, many of whom have been in the flooring industry for a couple of decades. Because The Flooring Room is so new to the market, it means that effort levels are always at 100%. Being known to genuinely care and building a positive reputation are both vital.
Steve Ferris, the founder of The Flooring Room Tauranga, even declares to have been born with ‘fluff in his veins’ being a third generation flooring guy. “I ran the national product program for NZ’s biggest flooring chain but when they sold to an Australian private equity I decided it was time to fulfill my dream of creating The Flooring Room. I put my name to every job and am extremely proud of what we can do for you.” Steve’s vast experience has allowed him to hand pick the suppliers, products, installers, and team to create something special – A flooring store run by passionate locals who care.
The team at The Flooring Room Tauranga have seen the difference between big corporates and they know that through a bit of extra love and care, and delivering that local touch, they can really connect with suppliers at a grass roots level. They also know that price matters which is why they set up a massive carpet warehouse (the biggest in the Bay) allowing them to buy all flooring types in bulk while offering phenomenal deals with all the major brands.
The Flooring Room Tauranga continues to grow and take on more residential and commercial jobs throughout the Bay of Plenty. Steve and the team are extremely grateful to everyone who has supported them over the past two years and for that, they would like to say a big THANK YOU!
